The Energy Corridor District is a thriving business hub nestled in Houston, Texas, known for its vibrant energy sector and dynamic community. As the designer tasked with launching the district's new branding initiative, "Thrive Here," I played a pivotal role in shaping its online visual identity.

My responsibilities included crafting the website's design, developing promotional landing pages, and creating clean, engaging graphics that effectively communicate the district's unique appeal.

To enhance the user experience, the website incorporates a user-friendly interactive map, and dynamic functionality that allows visitors to effortlessly explore and discover local restaurants, hotels, and venues, making it a valuable resource for both residents and visitors alike.

Margaritaville

Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer, songwriter and author Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville Resorts transport guests to paradise immediately upon arrival, offering unique experiences and coastal-luxe amenities centered around the vacation state-of-mind.

I was instrumental in the redesign and launch of Margartaville.com's new branding and website launch. During the redesign I had the idea to rename the navigation items to "playful action words" (Stay, Play, Dine, etc..) instead of the normal bland navigation (Hotels, Casinos, Restaurants, etc...). I was also responsible for creating all of the ads promoting the new site as "Destitation Margaritaville".

In addition to the website, I have also created several designs and websites for other Margaritaville locations in Florida, Tennessee and Grand Cayman and social media ads for Margaritaville's Footwear line.

John Fogerty

John Fogerty is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He was the lead singer, lead guitarist and principal songwriter for the band Creedence Clearwater Revival. The group had nine top-ten singles and eight gold albums between 1968 and 1972, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

After CCR parted ways in 1972, Fogerty had a successful solo career. He was listed on Rolling Stone magazine's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists (at number 40) and the list of 100 Greatest Singers (at number 72). His songs include "Proud Mary", "Down on the Corner", "Centerfield", "Bad Moon Rising", "Green River", and "Fortunate Son".

As Account Manager and Social Media Manager for John Fogerty, my duties included promoting tour dates, updating social channels and posts on a daily basis, and maintaining the online store and merchandise.

Some of the highlights of working with John, included tweeting "as him" during his American Idol appearances, organizing the live video feed from the Troubadoor, helping him sell out of his Autobiography "Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music", promoting numerous Vegas residencies and introducing him to the "Six String Soldiers", who were granted the opportunity to open for John for several shows.

UMC Budweiser Dome

The opening of the UMC Budweiser Dome in Nashville marked a significant milestone in the city's music scene. As the CMA Fest's first 360-degree music venue, the dome promised a revolutionary concert experience.

To generate excitement and anticipation for the grand opening, I crafted a comprehensive digital marketing and social media campaign. Leveraging eye-catching visuals, engaging content, and targeted advertising, I successfully reached a wide audience of music enthusiasts. By highlighting the unique features of the venue and showcasing exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, I created a buzz that culminated in a sold-out opening night.

The campaign's success played a pivotal role in establishing the UMC Budweiser Dome as a premier music destination.

Sugar Land Skeeters

The Sugar Land Skeeters are an American professional baseball team located in Sugar Land, Texas. The Skeeters play in the Freedom Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB). They are the 2016 & 2018 Atlantic League Championships.

As Creative Director for digital marketing, my role was to redesign their Official website, create weekly email blasts, design social media campaigns, sell tickets online and promote special events.

Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has released eleven studio albums with all of his albums certified Gold or higher by the RIAA. He has scored 32 Top 10 singles on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart, 19 of which have reached number 1 and set a new record in 2009 for the most consecutive singles (10) reaching the top spot on that chart.

Throughout his career, Paisley has sold over 11 million albums and has won three Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, and two American Music Awards. He has also earned country music's crowning achievement, becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

I designed Brad Paisley's Official website, including custom navigation icons and design details emphasizing his signature guitars.

Operation Connectivity

Operation Connectivity emerged as a collaborative initiative between Digital Glyde, Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Legislature, Dallas ISD, and ESC Region 4. The project’s mission was to bridge the digital divide for economically disadvantaged students by equipping Texas’s 5.5 million public school students with e-learning devices and dependable internet access.

By providing a visually appealing and user-friendly platform, I helped to ensure that Operation Connectivity's resources and information are easily accessible to both students and educators.

For the marketing collateral, I developed a suite of materials including the website, social media graphics, and promotional animations, all designed to communicate our brand’s values and services effectively. Each element was meticulously designed to create a seamless and memorable experience for our audience, reinforcing Open Staff’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Penny-Farthing Press

Penny-Farthing Press, Inc. is a publishing company focusing on comic books, graphic novels and children’s books that exemplified quality storytelling, artwork, and printing.

As Art Director at Penny-Farthing Press, I was in charge of coordinating and managing all the various artists, design and layout of the books, maintaining the story telling and integrity, and publishing & printing all 10 titles. I was directly responsible for over 20 printed books, gaining recognition in the comics and fine arts industries, and numerous other awards including the Gutenberg D’Argent Medal and several Spectrum Awards. Artwork from these titles were also featured in Publisher’s Weekly and on the Monday night CBS sitcom Yes, Dear.

In addition to publishing and printing the books, I was also in charge of creating the design and user interface of the Company's website. I was also responsible for the design, setup and management of our 20' x 20' tradeshow exhibit for over 8 years at San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con and Houston's Comicpalooza.

Landshark Lager

LandShark Lager is an island-style lager launched in 2006 as the house lager for "Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville" restaurant chain, to compete with Grupo Modelo's Corona. The name is derived from the Jimmy Buffett song "Fins", where men in a beach town trying to woo a vacationing woman are referred to as "sharks that can swim on the land".

As Creative Director for Landshark’s social media campaigns, my role was to help create narratives and supporting graphics that would gain interest and resonate with their audience.

These creative narratives included:

Haute Polish

Haute Polish is a one-step gel nail manicure system that features an "all-in-one" formula eliminating the time and hassle of using multiple products.

I created the visual identity of this product from the ground up. I designed the Haute Polish logo, bottle labels, packaging, POP displays, catalog, website and all supporting digital & print materials.

In addition, I also designed and created a folding nail color chart that fit into each box. It featured arched die-cuts, to insert your fingertip and see how that color would look on you. This piece won a “Best in Category” Graphics Excellence award from the Printing Industries of the Gulf Coast (PIGC).

His songs have had cover versions recorded by several country, folk and Texas country music musicians, including George Strait, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, The Highwaymen, Nanci Griffith, and the Dixie Chicks.

As Creative Director and Account Manager for Robert, my role was to design and launch his website, announce events and tours, manage his online store & promote the sale of his Official Merchandise.
